Responsibilities:

The consultant will work with Join Storage Engineering Team and will:

1. Architecture Design: Designing robust, scalable storage solutions that support the organizational needs in AWS.

2. Technology Evaluation: Assessing and recommending storage technologies and tools that could benefit the company.

3. Native AWS storage architecture, setting up replication, partitioning, and other advanced configurations to optimize performance and resilience.

4. Performance Tuning: Monitoring system performance and configurations to improve throughput and response times.

5. Security Implementation: Ensuring that storage access is securely controlled, and that data is protected against unauthorized access or breaches. This includes implementing encryption and auditing policies.

6. Scope: executing upon the strategy for storage, especially the implementation, training team on day 2 operations with automation. For block storage we already have plans in place to use FSxN, however need to progress with optimisation and modernisation agenda, explore options to use EBS where beneficial. For file we are also planning to use FSxN but can explore EFS. From a timeframe perspective need to execute on this in Q2- Q4. Tasks will include but not limited to complete analysis of AWS storage services (consumed by Danske Bank) and outline options incl. pros, cons & considerations. Outline steps to migrate to the a different storage service or tier, incl. testing and migration too. Cost analysis will be required too to assist in decision making.

Requirements:

• AWS architect experience

• AWS storage architecture

• Security and compliance knowledge

• Terraform • DevOps (git, CI/CD, etc.)

• Asap. For 12 months with possible further prolongation
