Python Full-stack Engineer

Behalf of our client, we are looking for Python Full-stack Engineer (permanent position), 

Description:

As a Python Fullstack Engineer, you will be embedded within the AXA XL account, contributing to the development and modernization of insurance platforms, client portals, and AI-driven solutions. You will work in a cross-functional team to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that support AXA XL’s global commercial insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python (FastAPI, Flask) and JavaScript (React, TypeScript).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build intuitive user interfaces and robust backend services.
• Participate in the development of AI modules and data engineering pipelines for AXA XL’s Digital Flow and Global Programs Portal initiatives.
• Integrate with cloud-native services on Azure, including Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation efforts across the AXA XL engineering team.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related.
• Extensive professional software development experience, with a moderate level of proficiency in Python, Java, and/or other languages.
• Demonstrated success in designing, building, and maintaining complex, high-performance applications.
• Expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Proficiency in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience in leading development teams and mentoring developers..
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Effective collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI/ML integration or data engineering (e.g., PySpark, Azure Databricks).
• Exposure to DevOps practices, including Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines, scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys), and event-driven architecture.

The salary range for this position is from 4.125 to 6.875 gross before taxes.*

*Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
