Senior Business Analyst

On behalf of our client, we are looking for Senior Business Analyst (permanent position), who will be part of the engineering team and will act as a vital link between information technology capacity and business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of our software product’s features.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop a thorough understanding of clients' business needs.
• Participate in workshops and requirements discovery sessions to identify software solutions and requirements.
• Gather, document, analyze, and obtain approval on business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories that capture enough details to enable engineers to complete tasks and clear acceptance criteria.
• Manage the backlog for your delivery team - this means backlog refinement and ensuring timely delivery and transparency into the progress towards our goals.
• Work closely with the Product Manager leading the overall product/project strategy to prioritize and plan the roadmap
• Collaborate with the project lead to manage delivery and focus the team on shipping value.
• Work as part of a team, as well as work independently toward assigned goals.

Job Requirements:

• Proven record of Business Analysis or Consulting experience in a complex, cross-functional environment, preferably in IT change.
• Solid experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, both functional and non-functional ones. A big plus, if this was gained on software development or business intelligence projects.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard Business Analysis methods and tools (you should know what to use, when, and why.
• Experience in working on different project stages, such as business case proposal, feasibility study, project planning, delivery, testing, and benefits realization.
• Ability to efficiently analyze unfamiliar processes and systems.
• Ability to work with large datasets and present information in a clear, visual, and self-explanatory manner.
• Ability to assess and manage deliverable timeliness and contribute to project planning tasks.
• Ability to work independently, sometimes in an unsupervised environment.
• Ability to converse and influence a variety of stakeholders - from technologists to senior business leaders.
• Have excellent business judgment and strategic thinking skills, and be detail-oriented.
• Verbal and written fluency in English.
• Top-notch communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills.

• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• A big plus if you are comfortable with reading code and/or performing system configuration management.

• The salary range for this position is from 3450 EUR – 5750 EUR gross before taxes.*
