Senior Test Engineer – Playwright | Test Automation | CI/CD

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Test Engineer to join an international client operating in the IT and business consulting sector. The company provides technology services and digital solutions to businesses worldwide and works with large-scale, complex software and enterprise environments.

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify, document, troubleshoot, and prevent issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking systems, ensuring issues are resolved before release.
• Perform regular regression testing to ensure that new features and changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
• Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of applications in cloud environments.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and logs.
• Share knowledge, best practices, and testing know-how within and outside the team.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members.
• Contribute to a strong quality culture and a bug-prevention, fail-fast mindset.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with multi-tier web-based applications.
• Experience with software testing in Agile development environments at scale.
• Previous experience working in multi-team environments and close collaboration with developers, project managers, and clients.
• Hands-on experience with test automation, particularly the Playwright framework.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development).
• Fluent English communication skills.

Experience in One or More of the Following Areas

• Performance, security, or usability testing.
• Accessibility testing and WCAG standards.
• Complex backend applications and enterprise system architecture.

Salary: €3,652–€4,875 gross per month, before taxes.
