C++ Software Developer

I am a recent University of Glasgow graduate, holding a First Class Honours degree in Software Engineering. I am looking for a C++Software Developer position, ideally related to Computer Vision or Computer Graphics.

I am proficient in modern C++, well versed in both Python and Java. At university I excelled at my Computer Vision and Machine Learning courses, which required strong mathematics, statistics and data analysis skills. I worked at a fast-paced startup for a year, participating in all aspects of the software being developed. My key responsibilities were database engineering, back-end maintenance and the development of an ETL pipeline with Python. I also had a 3-month internship at JPMorgan, working in a scrum team consisting of specialists with very different backgrounds, requiring strong communication skills. I have two personal projects I am proud of - a C++ Qt5 research desktop application for visualizing conversational data and a small scale C++ OpenGL rendering engine that provides the infrastructure for developing computer graphics experiments and running visual simulations. The conversational data browser was my dissertation project and was completed independently, with the supervisor acting as a client, requesting features and providing data. The rendering engine is my initiative that is currently in development. I am building it as I am learning various computer graphics programming techniques and exploring the OpenGL API.
