IT Systems & Automation Engineer (AI Focus)

We’re looking for a motivated IT Systems & Automation Engineer (AI Focus) to join the expanding Octohide VPN team. In this role, you’ll support and manage the infrastructure powering a VPN used on over 20 million devices worldwide. While technical skills matter, we prioritize a strong eagerness to learn and grow alongside us in a fast-growing environment dedicated to security and reliability.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and maintain VPN servers on Kubernetes and VMware, diagnose Kubernetes cluster issues as they arise
• Support server setup, updates, and overall network and server security
• Diagnose issues related to throughput, latency, packet loss, or routing
• Monitor system resources and logs, respond to incidents, and perform root-cause analysis
• Implement AI solutions in-house, automate processes, work with LLMs, and bring your own technological ideas to life.
• Work with the team to improve infrastructure and security practices

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux servers and Docker/Kubernetes
• Understanding of TCP/IP, tunneling, routing, DNS
• Familiarity with LLMs and their practical applications

Nice to Have

• Practical experience with VPN protocols
• Experience automating server configuration (Bash scripts, Python, etc.)
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, OVH, etc.).
• Knowledge of CDN, or BGP (big bonus).
• Hands-on hardware server management experience
• Virtual machine experience
